The second Heritage Golf Croquet Tournament played in East Sandwich, Massachusetts was held on September 19, 2025 at Sandwich Hollows Golf Club, home of the Sandwich Croquet Club (SCC). This one-day singles Golf Croquet event had 12 players of various skill levels all competing in one flight. There were three blocks of four with the top four being the most skilled in Block 1 and similarly skilled players in their respective blocks. The winner of the tournament was the one with the most wins - tie breakers being net points first and gross points second. The games had a 75-minute time limit with all of them finishing well before that (all winners getting seven points). While this approach is different from tournaments with multiple flights, it offers all players of different skill levels a chance to win the tournament.
The winner was Paul Panaccione who played in Block 3 beating out top seed John Shanholt (who played in Block 1) by eight net points. Both Paul and John went undefeated.
Special thanks to Tournament Manager Ware Cady who did a tremendous job organizing the tournament. Mike Sayler and Ware setup the courts, SCC Membership Chair Phyllis Welby set out delicious breakfast goodies and SCC President Jean Dorcus produced the entire event beautifully.
